Girls Traveling Basketball Program

The Hudson Basketball Association (HBA) is offering a girls traveling basketball program for
grades 4 - 8. If there are enough players for two teams, grades 5-8 will be split in to A (White) and B (Blue) based on their tryout evaluations. 4th grade teams are split evenly and players to NOT required to tryout. Teams will be formed after the first few weeks of practice.

Traveling Tryouts

The girls traveling basketball program has four separate tryout dates. Players are required to attend two of the tryouts, but they may attend as many as they can. If they attend more than two, the player's best two tryout scores will be used for team formation. Tryout dates are August 16, 18, 23, & 25.

• 5th grade tryouts will be held from 6-7:30 at the Middle School
• 6th grade sessions will be held from 6-7:30 at Hudson Prairie
• 7th grade sessions will be held from 7:30-9 at the Middle School
• 8th grade sessions will be held from 7:30-9 at Hudson Prairie

In order to help players understand what is expected of them during tryouts, there is 1 pretryout session per grade. Players will run through the drills that will be part of the tryout program. All pretryout sessions will be at Willow River.

• 5th grade pretryout session will be on 8/9 from 6-7:30
• 6th grade pretryout session will be on 8/11 from 6-7:30
• 7th grade pretryout session will be on 8/9 from 7:30-9
• 8th grade pretryout session will be on 8/11 from 7:30-9

Program Dates

The girls traveling season starts in October and finishes in March each year.

Practice Sessions
